With CITY CABLE CAR SOLUTIONS 3CS, Congress Messe Innsbruck, organiser of INTERALPIN, the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies, has launched a groundbreaking new industry platform for urban cable car solutions. Following its successful premiere at INTERALPIN 2025, 3CS will now be held for the first time in cooperation with ALPEXPO as part of MOUNTAIN PLANET from 21 to 23 April in Grenoble, France, with the central congress/conference programme taking place on 22 April. The aim of 3CS as a theme and marketplace is to facilitate exchange and knowledge transfer for leading manufacturers, transport companies, authorities and planning offices, right through to political decision-makers.
Innsbruck/Grenoble, 11/02/2026. The development and implementation of CITY CABLE CAR SOLUTIONS 3CS is based on the growing international market demand for cable car-based mobility solutions for public transport in urban areas. Examples such as Las Paz, Mexico City and the recently opened new cable car in Paris impressively demonstrate the advantages and practicality of this technology. As the organiser of INTERALPIN, the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies, Congress Messe Innsbruck is in close contact with the cable car industry. In agreement with the key market players, the 3CS was held for the first time in 2025 as a congress/conference format as part of INTERALPIN in Innsbruck.
This innovative impetus is provided not only by the 3CS thematic platform, but also by the long-standing partnership between Congress Messe Innsbruck and ALPEXPO in Grenoble. ALPEXPO is the organiser of MOUNTAIN PLANET, the international trade fair for mountain development, which takes place alternately with INTERALPIN. The plan is to hold 3CS alternately in Innsbruck and Grenoble from 2026 onwards.
